Training

INDOORS TRAINING

We are based at the Queen Mother Sports Centre in Victoria, where we train in the 25m pool on Monday nights from 9 to 10pm.

Monday night training is open to all Apnea Revolution members.  We run structured sessions for all levels of freediver or allow freedivers to train for individual goals in safe buddy pairs.

These sessions cover preparation and flexibility, technique, safety and training tables to improve performance in dynamic and static disciplines.

For more information on how to join our Monday night training sessions, please click here.

We also run training nights on Thursday for more advanced divers, although places are limited and booked on a quarterly basis.

Apnea Revolution provides safety training and runs AIDA courses throughout the year.

These are suggestions for training tables only. Training tables should be adjusted for individual performance levels. If you are not familiar with training tables, please do not attempt these. And remember: never ever train alone.

CHEPSTOW

The National Diving & Activity Centre is set in a 55-acre quarry near Chepstow, on the border of England and Wales.

All freediving at NDAC is run through SaltFree Divers, which runs regular weekend meets throughout the Spring, Summer and early Autumn. Freedivers must be certified to Aida 2* or equivalent to join meets.

WRAYSBURY

Wraysbury Dive Centre is a 15-acre lake near Heathrow, within an hour’s drive of Central London.

Depth is limited to 12 metres but it’s a great introduction to open water freediving and for equalisation practice, or for a fun day hanging out with other freedivers, friendly fish and an excellent bacon sandwich.
