Blue Sharks in Cronwall

Georgina Miller and Daan Verhoeven organised a great weekend for us in their new adopted hometown Porthkerris, Cornwall.

We had two days of blue shark diving with Charles Hood, travelling from Penzance out to open sea for close-up encounters with these curious and beautiful animals.

Blue sharks are seasonal visitors to British waters and are usually only seen in Summer months, and are normally between two and three metres long.

They are extremely inquisitive, and several of our divers experienced very close encounters. One group was also lucky enough to have dolphins surfing the waves next to their boat on their way home.

Porthkerris also offered beautiful shore diving straight from the beach, with stunning swim-through gullies and kelp. Thanks George and Daan for a fantastic weekend.
